Today is an active weather day! Possible severe thunderstorms and flash floods remain a hazard for the Ohio Valley while the threat of freezing rain extends to the Northeast. Additional heavy snow is likely across portions of the Upper Midwest.

On the extreme northern side of the storm, it will be a truly winter scenario, with heavy snow and gusty winds across the Midwest and eastern Great Lakes Region.

This next storm is coming right on the heels of Winter Storm Maya , which brought Seattle 7.9 inches of snow Friday into Saturday.
The eastern storm is bringing heavy rain over the Ohio River Valley and is increasing the risk of widespread flooding all the way into the northeast.
The storm will also bring snow and rain to other parts of the West through midweek.
